I've been visiting 8th of july restaurant since 2009 and the food is excellent! Very freshly made curries, mexican and Israeli food! The best view on the Palace Museum inside the fort. Try the fantastic fresh Mango Juice. The only place in Jaisalmer where you can get fresh filter coffee and freshly baked applepie.
The terrace and furniture could use an upgrade. In hot season it is advisable to sit inside. The lovely owners Rama and Jags will welcome you and you will surely come back if you stay more than one day in Jaisalmer. Well worth the visit! -

We had a light lunch here and the pakora was plentiful and excellent. We were highly amused by the owner who was a feisty Indian lady. We liked her and found her helpful funny and friendly!and the coffee was good too.
